Southern Okanagan Association for Integrated Community Living
Community Living Month was celebrated at Fairview Day Program with a Cultural Themed Celebration on October 28th, 2016.
Special cultural food dishes were shared, items displayed, music from different cultures played, everyone marked the origin of their nationality on the map, and some of the guests wore traditional costumes of the country their ancestors originated from.
To promote, organize, and support the education, training, development and welfare of special needs children and adults in a manner consistent with the Mission Statement, and bear in mind always, the strengths and needs of the individual as well as the principles of normalization and integration.
CARF is an international, not-for-profit organization that accredits human services providers. Founded in 1966 as the Commission on Accreditation for Rehabilitation Facilities, the accrediting body is now know as CARF.
