Southern Okanagan Association for Integrated Community Living
Aktion Club members collected 522 pairs of socks which they donated to Gleaners. The socks will go along with the Gleaners overseas shipment of dried soup mix to countries in need of food aid. Club members volunteer weekly at Gleaners by washing and chopping vegetables which are dried and combined to make the soup mix.
To promote, organize, and support the education, training, development and welfare of special needs children and adults in a manner consistent with the Mission Statement, and bear in mind always, the strengths and needs of the individual as well as the principles of normalization and integration.
CARF is an international, not-for-profit organization that accredits human services providers. Founded in 1966 as the Commission on Accreditation for Rehabilitation Facilities, the accrediting body is now know as CARF.
